WHAT
DOES IT MEAN ELECTROSTATIC CHARGE ? |

When
on the surface of one material or of one thing transfers an electric
charge, positive or negative, gets an electrostatic charging principle.
This statics charge diperses in a time relatives to the electric strenght
of the material, for example : sintetic products have a high resistivity
to keep the electrostatic charges for long time periods ; on the contrary
the metallic things have an electric strenght very low so it's possible
for them, thanks to an earthed connection, to keep the static charges
for an imperceptible time.

There are three
reasons for the forming of electrostatic charges :
a) friction between materials ; because the rubbing of two sensible
surfaces causes the electrodes transfer from one material to another
one (triboelectricity)
So the transfer of positive or negative ions alters the phisic balance
of the atoms, which cause electrostatic phenomenons pro rata to the
friction rating and to the level of speed.
b) material separation, because the electrodes present on their
surfaces are stressed in the same way when there's a components breakaway.
c) Induction between material which are interested from a big
electric field, so through the air ionizing of one environment transfers
positive or negative charge on the material surface which undergo this
electrostatic unbalance.
